INTREPID cyclists from Knaresborough and Harrogate Fire Stations will undertake a three day, 200 mile circular cycle challenge starting from Knaresborough and taking in fire stations across North Yorkshire in August.
Coun Pam Godsell, Mayor of Knaresborough will be there to wave the firefighters off when they leave on Sunday, August 17.

The sponsored challenge aims to raise funds for the Fireman’s Benevolent Fund and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

The 12 cyclists will return to Knaresborough Fire Station on Tuesday, August 19 and they are currently sending out letters to 150 local businesses asking for donations before they set off.

Anyone wishing to donate to the two charities can drop money off at the Fire Station on Gracious Street. Cheques can be made out to either of the two charities.

The firefighters are also holding two car washes, one tomorrow and one on Sunday, August 10.

Both are at the Fire Station starting from 10am, in aid of the same two charities.
